What is the highest temp you remember seeing in Ajo?

I remember seeing 114.

Am not positive, but I think I remember 118 as a high before.
Wow, cavemann, I sure don't miss those hot Ajo temps!  I can remember it cooling down at night to 101 as a low temp.

I sure do miss those nice winters, though.  You could get by with just a sweater instead of a coat.

I don't miss them either, LOL, I get to see them every day as I am BACK in Ajo, and have been for almost 11 years. The 119 was at work behind our shop at about 1:30 pm.

....hard to believe that we are 3/4 of the way through july....so far, skids believes that the max here in las vegas was about 112-114.....but,......we are somewhat spoiled..........what with air conditioned cars, homes, and jobs....skid has a beautiful full service library nearby and has been mostly hibernating out of the heat and doing a lot of reading....skid is a voracious reader.........none the less....the worst is almost over.......a far cry from skids youth in ajo..
jeez, it was hot...seems like we sweated dust...seems like at that time a swamp cooler was a real blessing....but, then again we were more acclimated to the heat and it was bearable.....skid remembers the almost desrted streets during the daytime, then at dusk folks would start coming out to cruise and socialize.........skids older brother went to work for pd........spent one day on the track gang on the ore dumps.....and quit........spent his earnings on a bus ticket as far from ajo as he could get........shows he did have some intelligence..............

Last Saturday morning, I chopped down two gigantic bushes between my and my neighbors house. Took me from about 9 am to 11 am. The first break I took, I swear if I had gone about 10 more minutes I would have went into heat stroke.

Later on I recollected that when I was a teenager living in Ajo, I used to get a summer job every year working for Pima County Parks and Rec and we would do that crap from 5 am till 2 pm every day all summer (and play basketball at night).

I did that for one summer, Jon.  The next summer I decided it would be better working for Kennyo's dad pushing carts and stocking the freezer and cooler.
